A corner of our ceiling started leaking after a heavy rain. We called Bill Sprauer and Johnny came the same day to check it out. He climbed up onto the roof and fixed a flashing that had popped up, hammered down nails that had come loose, and put caulking around them. He explained that was most likely the root of the issue but to call him in case the leak didn’t stop. Since then it has rained a couple times but there’s no more leaking! Thank you Johnny for diagnosing the problem and fixing it on the spot. We appreciated your honesty and thoroughness!

We needed to get our roof replaced after some hail damage, and Sprauer got us right! Super quick response time as well! I put my request online and got a call within minutes!! Johnny would have come out that night but we had plans, so we scheduled for the next day and he was here and very professional and enthusiastic about his work! He recommended the work needed and didn't try to oversell the job. Once we agreed to the terms and whatnot, the new roof was up in the same week!! Troy Miller with Bill Sprauer Roofing did a complete replacement of my roof and gutters as a result of the April 2021 hail storm. He spent a lot of time prior to the job explaining the process from beginning to end. He was at my house overseeing the project 90% of the time and the crew was friendly and lighthearted! When the job was complete the job site was spotless. The company (Troy) made sure every concern was addressed and was extremely patient with my insurance company and my lender in getting paid for the job. My neighbors have commented highly on the quality of the job. A big shout out to Johnny as well.

Troy at Sprauer was fantastic - he gave me an honest opinion about my roof, explained my options to me, kept me regularly updated throughout the process, and the work was fantastic. I had a fairly difficult roof to work with, but the crew completed everything within a day and it was exactly the price I was quoted - no surprises. They cleaned everything up on site too; it was immaculate. I hope I don't have to get my roof worked on for a long time, but if I do, I will definitely call Sprauer again.

I bought a house that had a damage from a hail storm and unfortunately the inspection report did not provide any details about it. I have tried to reach MANY roofers that have tried to use my situation against me and offered irrational quotes, I totally felt confused and disappointed until I called Bill Sprauer Austin Roofing Company. Troy of Bill Sprauer roofing was by far the best roofer I have ever worked with. Anybody that knows me, knows I don’t say things like this lightly. Troy went way above and beyond my expectations by providing a free minor repair, very good advice on next steps and helping with my insurance claim. I believe he honestly has my best interest in mind. Although I did not move forward with a new roof at this time, I will give him my business when the day comes to replace my roof.

Troy came out to my house to give me a quote for installing flashing on a facia board and ended up fixing a small roof leak free of charge! I was completely blown away by his level of service and will be calling Bill Sprauer roofing and requesting Troy if we ever need the roof replaced.

From start to finish our experience with Bill Spauer Roofing was excellent. I first contacted the company in July expecting to need the work pretty soon. Bill came out himself to provide the estimate and walked me through how things would go. He even help me pick out the best color of shingles for the roof. He was straight forward, very professional and very knowledgeable. I was most impressed that his crews have been with him so long and I could tell that he spoke of them like family. Always a mark of a good company. The quote was reasonable and no pressure. Fast forward several months to late December, when I contact them again and let them know I was ready to move forward. Fully expecting the quote to go up and stating so. This time I was assigned Troy as our project manager. He was friendly and very knowledgeable, answering several additional questions. Once we spoke he had us setup for the next week with delivery one day and work the next. When I expressed concern that it might be difficult to move one of our cars. He even helped to push it out of the drive if needed! In any case the work has occurred just as predicted and all for the same quote that Bill provided over six months ago. The workers were professional and quick and they even reinstalled a one way critter trap, that had to be taken down in the process for me. Overall a great experience. I would say call Bill Spauer roofing first for quick, efficient and quality workmanship.

Pretty straightforward process and working with Alex with easy. No BS and just a gray overall experience. Roof replaced through Insurance claim and they worked with all the kinks we had dealing with the insurance company. Can’t complain. Roof looks great. Was a little dirty after the fact but they came back and took care of it all.

Update three years later: Our uppermost roof vent was struck by lightning and the cap blown off. Bill came out to inspect for damage and replaced my vent cap with no charge. After contacting several companies, we’re fortunate to have found Alex Nachenberg from Bill Sprauer Roofing. Throughout the entire process, Alex is extremely responsive, knowledgeable, and professional. He covered a damaged part of our old roof before we brought the issue up. And more importantly, he is punctual. Alex has shown up on time for all our appointments and has my entire roof replaced on schedule. We also love the fact that this contractor can deliver high quality work at a very competitive price. Being a perfectionist myself, I can be a difficult customer, but Alex, Sprauer Roofing, and their workers have absolutely earned my appreciation and respect. It is worth mentioning that my neighbor is working with Alex after seeing my new roof!

Reached out to several roofing companies to get our roof replaced. I not only received a quick response on Yelp but we had the pleasure of having Alex come out and give us an estimate later that same day. We already were approved by our insurance company so it was surprisingly quick and easy. I was happy and went ahead and cancelled upcoming estimates. Communication was excellent and I can really appreciate always getting immediate responses. The roofers worked tirelessly from morning until night until the job was done. Our roof looks great and I will definitely be recommending them.

We were having an issue with leakage around our chimney and we got quotes from a bunch of roofing companies in the Austin area. Sprauer offered us the most reasonable quote and were able to fit us into their schedule rather quickly. Their tech Alex came over and was very professional in explaining us the problem with our roof. He even went above and beyond and helped us with fixing few other minor issues around our roof at no additional cost. I would recommend Sprauer to anyone in the Austin area.

This company was super responsive in helping fix a small leak in my roof. They sent someone who made a quick inspection and found that some of the screws on the vents needed new caulking applied. He said the rest of my roof looked good and probably had 20 years of life left in it. I wouldn’t hesitate to call this company next time I have a problem.

I met Bill almost 3 years back when he did the roof inspection as we were trying to buy our home in Austin. Though he typically charged for an inspection, he waived his fees and gave us some good pointers on what to look out for. Of course 3 years later when we had a leak, Bill was the roofer we called. We got the chimney siding and all the metal work replaced as well as put in a new roof. Bill worked with the insurance adjuster and convinced them to cover the hail damaged roof in 2021. Bill is very honest and his word is golden - if he says he will fix something, he will. He is responsive - unlike couple of other roofing companies we tried to contact - and his crews are very professional and thorough. They do very high quality work and fast. His charges are very reasonable and he doesn’t try to sell you things you really don’t need. Highly recommended!

I've worked with Bill on several occasions. He is my go to guy for all roofing issues. He came out to fix some animal damage and found that I also had extensive hail damages. He patched up the roof so it wouldn't leak. I contacted my insurance and sure enough within 3 weeks I had a new upgraded roof system. The guys were very friendly and very fast. I actually had a bad experience during the process. My neighbor was having a roof installed and they had the wrong address and started tearing off my roof. I called Bill immediately and asked if he had authorized ppl to be tearing off my roof. Bill said that it wasn't him or his guys. Bill showed up and he said that the guys made a mistake and that they actually dried my house in well and not to worry that he would have my roof on quickly. He did what he said and I love my new roof.

We connected with Bill through the person who had put the old roof on about 5 years ago. There was a massive hail storm here in Elgin in April and we wanted a higher-quality, longer-life metal roof installed as part of our renovation. We have a 100 year old brick house in the downtown area. Bill came out to see us and was super friendly and helped us, new homeowners, through the process of making a claim. He even came over to survey the damage with the insurance adjuster. The crew who installed our SureLock roof was so professional, so nice, cleaned as they went, and were a true joy to have around. Their foreman, Esteban, came over periodically to check in with them and told me the importance of a focus on detail so that a new metal roof never has issues. Literally every inch of this new roof is perfect. It looks so beautiful. I will recommend Bill to anyone I know for roofing. It's great that he does all types of roofs, and knows contractors to do other types of work as well. In fact, one of his connections is coming over next week to bid us out on a reframing job for our old barns. When/ if you need a roof, call Bill!

Bill and his crew replaced my roof and gutters for a reasonable price, he gave me a quote on the spot with details of the job. I had already met with a few other roof companies prior to Bill. They had to "get back to me" on pricing and either never followed up promptly or tried to charge way too much for less work. They may be faster than Bill to show up at your door to get your business, but I'm glad I chose Bill's crew to do the job.

As a part of real estate transaction we needed a professional opinion on recently replaced roof. Bill understood the urgency and made himself available for the free no-obligation inspection. Bill was very professional. The roof was not replaced by him but his opinion was extremely professional and really helped us navigate through the deal. He acknowledged that overall roof is replaced by the code and no issue was observed as far as leaks are concerned. He pointed out couple of best practices which was not followed (Ridge vs mushroom vent) and pointed gutter could have been replaced but its mostly cosmetic. This is what I call professional services. I will surely consider Bill for roofing needs in future.

I recently found a leak in my roof and had a few companies come out to try to diagnose and fix the issue. After having one company try to push me to buy a completely new roof (the house is only 7 years old) Bill came out and said that won't be necessary. I am extremely satisfied with the service that Bill Sprauer of Bill Sprauer Roofing provided for my family. We had a small leak around a vent on our roof during the recent torrential rains in April of 2021. We contacted Bill and he made an appointment to come out and take a look for us on 5/12/2021. Bill arrived on time, surveyed the location in the attic where the leak was occurring and then proceeded to go up on the roof and seal the location where the leak was occurring. He also took the time to seal several adjacent vents on the roof while he was there. Too many of the companies we had originally contacted to look at getting the roof repaired were only interested in upselling us on a new roof or extensive repairs. The roof on our home is only 5 1/2 years old so we are nowhere near the point of needing those kinds of upsells. I would highly recommend Bill to anyone looking to have any type of roofing repair done as he is very punctual and very honest which is refreshing in this day and age.

A team from Sprauer Roofing just finished work on our house. Our roof had worn out over the last 20+ years and needed replacing. Bill's quote was very competitive and he was very straight-forward about industry standards and the expected lifetime of his products. There was almost no wait. We got our quote one week and his guys started work the next week. There's been some hail recently and I thought they would be booked for a few weeks, but he was happy to schedule us as soon as we wanted. All told it took them about 8 hours to completely re-shingle our 1800 square foot home. The work looks great and they did a really good job on the cleanup. I was worried that some of our plants were going to get crushed but the crew was very careful. I'm going to be recommending Bill Sprauer to friends in the future.

After 22 years,the latest sever hail storm in and around Elgin Texas it was time for a new roof. I called 3 roofing companies out of which Bill was the only one to call me back! He was on time to quote the job and the price included everything to repair and replace my roof including some old leak damage. His crew was on time the day it was scheduled.Actually tried to start a day early! The crew was polite, respectful and professional.They were finished at the end of the day and other than my new beautiful roof I could not tell they had been there!!! My roof like many others started to experience issues after the February winter storm. We have a gas fireplace and we hear water drippings after a heavy rain a week after the winter storm. I called around and most of the companies were too busy to even come take a look. Some time passed and this past week we experienced another heavy rain. Now the drips are becoming a stream and also noticing water coming out of the soffit. So I tried again to find someone to come out. I was able to arrange 4 companies to come out for an inspection and give an estimate. Bill’s name is on his company, and he was the one I spoke to when I call. We were able to quickly arrange a time for him to come. And he came with his crew to inspect the roof. I have a roof with concrete tiles, so identify issue isn’t easy. Most of the companies gave us a quote to remove the tiles and then variable pricing starts, some amount to replace underlayment, some amount to remove more tiles… Bill’s first and final price came right in the middle, wasn’t most expensive nor was the cheapest. But his price was an all inclusive price making the promise of fixing our roof leak problem and backed by 2 years workmanship warranty on all repair. More importantly, Bill is upfront about what his best guess on the problem may be and what it would take to fix it. His attitude definitely gave me confidence in him that he will take care of my problem. Bill came out on a Friday and the repair was scheduled on following Monday. He did not ask for money up front, nor ask for the money after the repair. It was me that reach out wanted to make him whole for what he have done for us. And his first response is “am I happy with the repair work?”. It is hard to pick a company for repair jobs. I highly recommend Bill and his crew for roofing works. I am recommending him here and to all my friends and neighbors. Bill will take care of your needs with a honest and straightforward attitude.

Bill is GREAT!, I rarely leave reviews, but in this case I had to! I needed my roof fixed, I called on a Sunday, and Bill called me first thing on a Monday, arrived early Monday, was super honest, and just fixed the issue right away, no stress, and great price! He is super honest, and would definitely would go with him next time I need anything fixed on my roof.

We had a great experience with Bill and his crew. He made the whole process of getting a new roof painless. He helped us understand how to file a claim with our insurance and came back out to meet with the insurance adjuster during his inspection. Fortunately, our claim was approved. If the insurance company were to deny it, Bill was able to tell me additional steps I could take to dispute the denial. Bill explained the extra steps they take build a better quality roof. It's clear that he takes a lot of pride in his work. We also appreciate his no pressure approach. He doesn't feel like a salesman, doesn't pressure you to make a decision, and doesn't mind if you get other estimates. He was able to get our new roof scheduled very quickly. The day of the project, his crew showed up on time and they finished the job that day, as they said they would. They cleaned up beautifully when they were done. They took pictures of the roof to show me. I don't know a thing about roofs, but it looks fantastic to my untrained eye. To sum it up, I'd say that Bill is a true professional and an all around nice guy. He maintains excellent communication throughout the process and patiently answered all of our million questions. He's been in this business for decades and employs a hard working crew. He's trustworthy and his guidance about working with insurance is invaluable. This was one of the best experiences we've had working with a contractor.

After Bill reviewed our inspection report he went up on our roof and made the necessary repairs free of charge! If that wasn't enough he cleaned the leaves out of our gutter too. Many companies can take care of your roofing needs but Bill's customer service is stellar, Better call Bill.

Just got our roof redone & we are so happy with the end results! He came for a quote on the 25th of January (he wore a mask so that made me happy!) and my roof was done yesterday! Bill told me that we were eligible for insurance to cover the costs, so I was able to call & have State Farm come out the next day to verify what Bill said and we were on our way to a new roof!!
